How much does an aircraft hangar cost?

When will the hangars be ready?
We are currently targeting early 2021 as a move in date. These dates may change based on construction schedules, weather, etc.
Are there bigger hangers available?
You bet. Hangars sizes range up to 3000 square feet. Tell us what you need and in most cases, we can customize a solution to fit your aircraft. We also have a Rotary Hangar option for helicopters.
Can I buy a hangar to store my car, RV and boat?
Golden Ears Airpark is specifically for the use of the general aviation community and as such, hangars are primarily for airplane storage. Secondary assets may be permitted alongside your aircraft. No exterior storage will be permitted. This will be strictly enforced.
Do I get a lease with my hanger?
Hangars will come with a 40 year lease with the Pitt Meadows Airport. This can be renewed for an additional 40 years.
Can I build a mezzanine/loft in my hangar and use it as an apartment?
A mezzanine/loft is permitted, however, owners cannot use their hangars as a living space, based on city and airport bylaws. This will be strictly enforced.
Can I operate a business out of my hangar?
Hangars at the Golden Ears Airpark are to be used by private aircraft owners for the purpose of general aviation. Our bylaws do not allow you to use your hangar as a primary business location. This will be strictly enforced.
Are there other fees associated with my airplane hangar space?
We estimate these monthly fees to be approximately 25-30 cents per sq ft. including lease costs, property taxes and building maintenance. There may be additional costs to cover building operations (TBD).
Where will I be able to fuel my aircraft?
There are two options for fuel at YPK. Beside the main terminal building on the South side of the airport, or on the North side of the airport where a new fuel station is currently being built.
